Im about 15 minutes away from heading over to Kandogawa and giving out Valentine's Day. Hopefully the class goes well.
That being said, be proud of me. I made 57 Valentine's Day cards for this kids (21 at Nagahama and 36 at Kandogawa) and about 4 more for teachers and the like. Thats alot. Im glad I dont have to make another card for a year or so. Now, they werent hard to make. I printed them off the computer (2 per page), cut and folded them, and then wrote the kid's name and 'Happy Valentine's Day!'. But still. Doing this 60 times gets really old and tedious. I also had to prepare hearts and other things for a game Im going to play. Also really easy to make, but that got tedious when I had to do that after I got finished with the Valentine's! Arent I whiney? Its completely worth the tedium though when I give the cards to the kids. Yesterday at Nagahama, the kids absolutely loved the cards. It was nice. They were excited. So hooray! Thats why I made 36 more today (technically 40) to give out to the Kandogawa kids. Now, I am not kidding myself, they probably will be mopey and not really like them. But you never know!
I was also putting off making the Valentines today so I decorated the house with little hot pink hearts taped up everywhere. Heh. Its Valentine's Day! I should be festive. Besides, in Japan, the girl is the one to give the boys chocolates. The guy doesnt do anything until March 14th, which is White Day. There, they give the girls who gave them chocolate, a white treat (cookies, white chocolate, and if they dont like the girl, a marshmellow). So no hasselling my sweet husband. He's making me dinner tonight, but he doenst have to. I got him some chocolates though. I hope he likes them. I put a cute red bow on them too. Awwww...
So thats valentine's day. I hope you guys have a very happy one!
